First Class Kennels was opened in 2005 by Jim and Tina Heinz with the goal of providing best in class pet care for area pet owners.  The Heinz's dedication and attention to detail resulted in a facility that is second to none in the Gastonia/Lincolnton area as many, many happy pets and owners attest.   Changes in their personal lives caused them to move out of state and Pat & Hilary Cleary purchased the business in 2010, enabling them to realize a dream they shared for several years. 

Pat and Hilary live next door to the facility and keep a very close eye and ear on the guests in the kennel.  They are active in the 'dog world', showing and raising Irish setters. Prior to realizing their dream of owning an exceptional pet resort, they  owned a successful pet care services business in New Jersey where Hilary was also on the management team of one of the largest privately-owned veterinary hospitals  in the state. 

Like the Clearys, every member of the First Class Kennels Guest Services Team shares a passion for pets and is committed to providing first class care and service to you and your special companion.
